In Their Own Light

In Their Own Light is an ongoing portrait project exploring presence, personality, and the quiet connections that shape community. Each session is simple by design: one subject, one light, and an honest moment in front of the lens. The portraits will be paired with short written pieces drawn from personal interviews, creating space for each person’s voice to live alongside their image. This phase of the project focuses on refining the process, dialing in the studio’s rhythm and light, and finding a balance between technical precision and emotional truth. The goal is to eventually turn this work into a physical exhibit at the studio, where these portraits and stories can be experienced together.
